The Fort Knox Five have had a huge impact on the international funk and breaks scene over the past couple of years. With the release of five critically acclaimed singles on their own independent label, Fort Knox Recordings, the FK5 have been thrust into the spotlight and caught the attention of music lovers around the world.

FK5 flawlessly fuse live instrumentation with modern electronics to create their signature funk-driven sound. Their highly sought-after production style has been called upon to remix incredible artists, including: the legendary Tito Puente, Louis Armstrong, Tower of Power, A Skillz and Krafty Kuts, Dynamo Productions, and Mo'Horizons to name a few. They have also been called upon by the godfather himself, Afrika Bambaataa, to produce four tracks on his recent album "Dark Matter" on Tommy Boy Records. Recently, they have been back in the studio with Afrika Bambaataa and King Kamonzi to record a smoking new single called Radio Free DC.

FK5's unique DJ style ranges from eclectic downbeat & hip hop, to upbeat funk and breaks. Their keen sense of party rocking has gained them countless fans around the globe. They have rocked dancefloors in Russia, Germany, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Holland, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Canada to name a few. As well as mega clubs such as Fabric Live in London, Supercharged in Brighton, La Paloma in Barcelona, and many more....

2005 proved to be a pinnacle year for the Fort Knox Five. Having been selected into the prestigious Urb Magazine Next 100, and featured on the Hotel Costes Sept Compilation, FK5 also teamed up with the English Funkateers, Skeewiff, over at Jalapeno Records. Together they compiled a breakbeat funk compilation called, The Raid. It features exclusive tracks and remixes by Skeewiff, the Fort Knox Five, and Kraak en Smaak. These tunes all come from the back catalogs of Fort Knox and Jalapeno.

A major turning point in 2005 was when they were selected to be Gwen Stefanis tour and show dj on the Harajuku Lovers 2005 tour. Being a part of this, they had the opportunity to open sellout shows with Gwen Stefani, and the Black Eyed Peas. They were able to play massive arenas, such as the Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Gardens, and everywhere else in between.

In 2006, the Fort Knox Five released the New Gold Standard Vol 1, which was the first cd release for Fort Knox. It is a compilation of songs coming from the vaults of Fort Knox. Solid 24K Gold! They are also releasing a mix cd of their remixes entitled Fort Knox Reminted in March of 2007. FK5 will also be working closely next year with Krafty Kuts, Afrika Bambaataa, and Wicked Lester. Keep an eye out for their first full length album out early fall 2007.

Geriba is a project of Quincy Jointz and Joern Disch. Even Geriba is a beautiful beach at Buzios, Brazil, these two funky brothers are from Freiburg, Germany. Very impressed by drinking caipirinha at Geriba, they decided to name their music-project like this perfect place.

Quincy is DJing for years, doing different radioshows and started to work on own tracks. Joern was addicted to house-music and released a latin-house record under the name of Cálido. They met in 2003 in a bar in Freiburg and decided to do house-music together. But Quincy played more and more funky stuff at his dj-sets like Quantic, Fort Knox Five and the All Good Funk Alliance. So the influence of funky beats grew and they changed into a funky breakbeat style.

“I’ve is based in South East London, UK. I've been DJ'ing now for nearly 10 years. I play all sorts of music ranging between Hip-Hop, funk, breaks, house, drum n bass and anything else that sounds good!

I hold no prejudice with music, if its good, I will play it!

I love to DJ! Playing music to others and rockin partys is my passion.

About 7 years ago, I saw a video of DJ QBert which introduced me to the world of turntablism. It totaly changed the way I look at decks! I invested in my first set of Technics Decks and scratch mixer and got practicing! Over the years, I have learned to incorporate the turntablism into my sets to keep the focus on the music, but still show the skills! I entered the UK DMC a couple of years back, making it to the London finals but got knocked out by DJ Skully. I feel better knowing he went on to win the UK title! I may enter again, but finding the time to put together a set on top of other obligations has held me back.

I play with a Jazz outfit kow as The Naked Sunday Collective (or N.S.C, check www.nsc-live.com) where we combine turntablism with live jazz & breaks. We played at Glastonbury 2005 which was incerdible!! Other highlights include warming up for Courtney Pine at the London Jazz Festival 2004.

Im looking to start up my own label - TRIFID PRODUCTIONS. Up and coming releases include the first 12" - 'Shake Ya Cellulite' feat MC Angel (check out her myspace to hear the tune!). The First Official TRIFID mixtape, hosted by Angel to follow. Another one to look out for will be a DJ Vs Beatboxer project with Bass6 & Dr Rythm Vs myself, plus a whole bunch of remixes and promos. Influences include DJ Shadow - Love the style and technique. DJ Qbert - for changing not just my opinion on DJing but the worlds!! Beastie Boys - Love those guys! Scratch Perverts - Best UK Crew!”

Steve Gamboa (a.k.a. Stevie G) has been involved with dee jaying, producing, and performing live music for over 19 years. He began as a DJ in 1988, spinning hip-hop, rare groove, and funk at various parties in his hometown of Washington, DC. Soon after, he became the bass player for the seminal underground punk group, The Nation of Ulysses, and afterwards, the drummer for The MaKe uP, which released several full length LPs and went on to tour the US, Europe, Australia, Japan, and Brazil.

Stevie has been an imported guest DJ at the world-renowned, Ku De Ta bar/restaurant in Bali since 2002 and is currently a permanent resident spinning for sunsets, dinners, and late nights throughout the year, as well as for specially themed events such as the monthly “Funked Up Fridays” sunset sessions. Since August 2005, his other weekly residency includes 2 very successful alternating Thursday classics parties (“Bam Bam” and “Hip Shaker”) at F Lounge in Seminyak where he specializes in playing roots Reggae and dancehall as well as bringing funk, soul, and underground disco classics to a steady crowd of soulful music fans. He has also played on several occasions at Liquid, Lush Bar, Casa Pasta, MbarGo, Hu’u Bar, Paparazzi Lounge, Double Six in Bali; in Jakarta for the opening of nightclub Mezza9; and at Horizontal Lounge, the only lounge on Gili Trawangan, Lombok.
